Wow! I just had their Baja Chicken Burrito and it was awesome! Fresh ingredients, and one of the biggest burritos I've ever had. Atmosphere is casual/quaint. BYOB. I can't wait to come back to try more things on their menu.

Had mariachi's catered for lunch today for a random day of let's get tacos catered for no reason also the restaurant only had a days notice and they came through big time.like an ideal first date,The food showed up hot and steamy. which is always key to delivery.Even though we had a mass amount of food, all of the portions were consistent in terms of quality, you could tell whoever made this spread has a real passion for cooking(and that's the difference between great and good)We catered over 150 steak, chicken and vegeterian tacos with a healthy portion of beans that could give a whole tribe of 3rd world starving Africans something to live for. They also had quarts of cilantro, shredded cheese, green and red hot sauce plus tortilla chips to dip in the beans. Now I'm a big meat eater but Suprisingly the vegeterian tacos stole the show, I couldn't believe how good it was, I didn't even know what it was I was like "what is this".someone goes vegeterian and everyone was saying oh damn this is really good, who would of thought that a vegeterian taco could have so much flavor and have me still thinking about it a week later, after tasting this great food I felt the need to judge every restaurant I goto and write about it thank you

I come from a Mexican family and it has taken me a long to find a place that has that home cooking for Mexican. This is it. You walk into this place and the smell is amazing. I had to stop myself from ordering everything on the menu. I ordered chips and guac, al pastor tacos, chorizo quesadilla, and tamales. All were outstanding. This is my new go-to for Mexican. I will be spending a lot of money here.

Wanted to like this place but everything was just ok. I did not care for the Baja style burrito. It was ok but it didn't taste like a regular burrito or what I was expecting. It just seemed like too much added filler. We also shared tamales but they were dry. There is a very small table area. When we were there, only one other table was occupied. It was a little awkward with this loud table of people who clearly were enjoying the byob. If we are in the area, I might try it again but no burrito or tamales for sure.

Awesome place. Cheap and large, delicious servings. How could ask for more than that? Plus they give coupons for future visits when you check out.

Awsome! Had a steak 'baja' burrito and a quesidlla. The meat was perfect and not fatty garbage like most other places. Ingredients were fresh. Prices are very reasonable. Tasted great!! My new favorite place by far!

Smiling faces greet you, pretty and colorful interior. Amazing mural on the wall. This place has delicious mexican food. I recommend the tortas. They have great vegetarian options too! Only a few tables, but it is perfect for carry-out!

The freshest food, delicious selection and great service. Authentic Mexican choices with tacos being my favorite. Homemade salsa so wonderful I poured it on everything! Adorable hand painted mural makes for a fun atmosphere. Quality business!

Beware of the little joint sporting a '5 star review (as was their Yelp rating the day I ate there, a feat they also tout on their sign in front of the restaurant) - look closer at the reviews and you'll notice nearly all of them are from Yelp'ers with one review and no friends. Suspicious. Unfortunately, because I failed to do my usual due diligence before eating here, I was duped by the '5 star' rating on Yelp. This place was 3 stars on its best day. I had a couple of tacos which were so greasy I could only eat half of one and a tamale that tasted like it was made three days ago. The chips were old and stale and the guac tasted like it came from a can. The best part of the meal was the Mexican Coke and the delicious bottled water. I love to support local joints and was hoping this place would live up to its rating - sadly, that was not the case.

Wow! This place has great, authentic Mexican food, quick and kind service, and I can't believe how inexpensive everything is! Only a few seats in the place but take-out seems to work VERY quickly. Will DEFINITELY be coming back again!

Just got back from lunch there. The place wasn't very busy, which was surprising. The food was really good. I had three tacos, one each barbacoa, carne asada, and al pastor, all with onions and cilantro. The barbacoa was a little greasy, but just a little, and c'mon, it's barbacoa. The pork was decent, not the best I've had, but up there nonetheless, a little greasy as well. The steak was really good. It wasn't greasy, it had good flavor; it was really good, definitely my meat of choice there. The last thing I'll say about the tacos is that there was TOO much meat on them... I had to push some off to the side, and eat it on its own; definitely not a complaint. The chips she brought out were good, as was the pico. The salsas were not great, but I didn't need them either. My friend had the fajita dinner and she said it was good, that the meat wasn't chewy (they were large chunks of meat on the plate when it came out), and she said the beans were really good. When the girl brought us our food, she was REALLY nice, we asked for sour cream for the fajitas, and pickled jalapenos, and the girl smiled and said "sure, one second" and brought them out. I will most likely go back, it's a little ways from the office, but it was good.

We have been happy customers of Mariachi's Baja Grill since they opened nearly one year ago. We had been there 5-6 times until late fall, when the weather got cold and we no longer walked to dinner. Welcome to spring! We decided to go to Mariachi's again for dinner, and were greeted by a few changes. Nothing major or bad, just different. One thing is that some of our favorite, and variable menu items were missing from the menu board. We ordered two items. First, a Baja Bowl with Al Pastor, and Grande Quesadilla with Carne Asada. The Quesadilla was good, and the meat had a nice flavor. The Baja Bowl, however, was very salty, and the meat was also quite fatty. This is not what I remembered from previous meals, where the Al Pastor was very good. We also enjoyed a cup of Horchata. It was very good, with ample cinnamon added., This is a recommended addition to the food. Overall, it seems like they are letting things get a little loose. I hope they keep up the creativity of some of their previous menu items like their seafood dish we enjoyed a couple times, and keep the quality of their meats up. Also, watch the salt!

This place is awesome...fresh pica de gallo and the Carne asada burrito is so full of flavor. It's cheap for the amount of food you get. The lady who took my order was very pleasant. The sauces for the burrito were a great addition too. The first time I went, I didn't even use it because it didn't need it. The second time I went I used it and it made it even that much better. If you want delicious Mexican food, this is the place.

I tried Mariachi's the first week it had open but the food and service was sub par. I gave them some time to settle in and I went back to give it another try after reading a lot of good reviews. I ordered two tacos, (pastor and carne asada) a tamale with hot green sauce, and some chips and pico. The tacos were full and certainly not skimping on any meat as some places tend to do. The meat was flavorful taboot, not over salted by any means. The tamale was a little small, however it was very moist and full of flavor. I'm glad I ordered the green sauce as the spice was perfect! Lastly, the chips and pico were delicious. All in all I was quite pleased with the prompt service, the quality of food, and value. I will definitely be ordering Mariachi's more often for lunch along with scooping some extra tamales to take home for the family.

They were able to accommodate a large order on a very short notice. The food portions were very generous and food was delicious! I highly recommend this place!

As a pyschologically-oriented person I feel that it is only ethical and necessary to disclose the following information regarding Mariachis: it is delicious, but may cause long-term issues such as bloating and the need to relieve one's self in a gas form. It may be a little stinky at times, but this potential pain and suffering is worth every ounce of joy you will feel while converging on your huge plate of amazing Mexican food. You have so many options when it comes to ordering - this is great, but can also be paralyzing for those of us whose eyes are bigger than their stomachs and want literally everything there is to be offered. Ultimately, though, I settled with the Baja Burrito with carnitas. I could not have possibly chosen anything else that hit the spot quite the way that this did. This burrito was freaking ginormous and I had a 5 minute stare down with it before I could dig in - I had to justify the fact that I was about to inhale uncountable amount of calories with this single burrito. But I would consume all those calories again. The Baja Burrito had so many ingredients in it and it couldn't have tasted better. This is definitely a better option than the regular burrito which is only a dollar cheaper and doesn't have as many ingredients in it. My only complaint with the Baja Burrito was that there wasn't all that many carnitas in it. I could have definitely gone for more meat in it, but like I said - the flavor was so good that I didn't really blink an eye to this. This burrito was so big that I couldn't even finish it...and to think that I almost ordered the Big Azz Burrito. Now that is something for all the Bravehearts out there. If you can take on the Big Azz Burrito and get your picture on the wall if fame then just know that I salute you my friends. Other than the food I loved the interior with all of the Day of the Dead artwork painted on the walls. It was extremely colorful and cheerful in the restaurant. The host was also super friendly and willing to answer all of my questions. I would say that they have the right people working for them and they have a very solid business going on. Unfortunately it is a small restaurant so it limits business, but you can take your food to go which is probably the norm. As I told my fiance, "if I didn't like trying new things so much I would definitely come back to Mariachis!"

Went here on a Saturday and they offer buy two get one free burrito...so i did. I got the baja steak burrito and it was large with good flavor of the black beans and corn and the onion and peppers but not a lot of steak, dont know if the special had anything to do with it. While waiting for my order i had some chips and salsa that was excellent from fresh made pico de gallo. I will try this again soon!

The chicken burrito I had was immaculate, no sauce needed because it was already that good. Quesadilla was cheesy goodness and the tacos were large and delicious as well. This definitely going to be my goto place for Mexican.

Great quaint locally owned mexican restaurant. In a time of Mcdonalds, Subway and Chipolte on every corner, this is music to my ears. This is Mariachis. Colorful decor, great staff, and very good food. To start the nice women greeted me with a smile, chips and some seriously fresh Pico de Gallo! Excellent. I played it safe with the steak burrito, which for $1.80 turns into a meal. Very good burrito and very large amount of food. For $8.80 total this is a steal, especially with the complimentary chips and salsa. She warned me about the Rojo salsa and boy am I glad she did ... if you like xxxxhot you'll love it, I really enjoyed the Verde, great flavor. The burrito was good, not the best I've ever had but I really look forward to trying it "Baja" style, or some of the more extravagant options. I think that might be where the awe is at. Very extensive menu. Baja btw is black beans, corn salsa and other various goodies. The rice and beans were right on point. The second young lady, who was also incredibly sweet, recommended the fish or coconut shrimp taco dinner. I could be convinced. The seating is comfortable, though limited. I'd rank this more of a takeout joint for that reason as well as the restroom is in the back, through the kitchen and no wifi. Very slight issues for what truly is excellent service and great food in a comfortable, locally owned restaurant. I will be back, frequently. Who knows I might even join the wall of fame and take my picture with El Mariachi in a Sombrero and a Baja Pancho!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
